Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre enjoys a wonderful setting close to the shores of Lake Pedrera and around 40 minutes drive from Elche. Not only is the setting beautiful, the stunning villa was featured on the popular UK television series, Grand Designs Abroad. The villa was originally planned to be just a family home. However, with the extensive grounds and nearby lake and nature reserve, the owners wisely decided to open Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre. Visitors to the centre can enjoy a fantastic day of activities and adventure, designed with all age groups in mind.

The turquoise waters of Lake Pedrera are surrounded by a natural park full of indigenous flora and fauna. The lake itself is well stocked with carp, barbel and black bass. This makes it a popular spot with anglers, although a fishing licence is required. Keen walkers regularly meet at the lake for pleasant hikes along its many nature trails. These meander through pine forest and fragrant groves of lemons, oranges and almonds. So, whether its a fun filled day of activities at Casa La Pedrera, or just a day of fresh air and exercise hiking the trails, the lake is the perfect setting.
Casa La Pedrera Activities
Kayaking – The picturesque lake is lovely to explore by kayak. Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre provide single, double and triple seater kayaks and canoes. This is the perfect summer activity where you can also enjoy swimming in the shallows or a good old mud fight. Prices vary for the different size kayaks, life jackets must be worn on the lake, and please respect all anglers.
Quad Bike Tours – This is the most popular adventure at Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre. Riders can enjoy thrilling tours on the rugged trails around the lake, or explore further afield with the longer tour. Four different tours are offered. Two of these are strictly off-road so do not require a licence. These have an age restriction of 10 and 13 years. The other two tours are a mix of public roads and off-road. The longest at 3 hours also takes in the beautiful mountains and beaches. The one to three hour tours offer the option to stop for a tasty picnic or BBQ at an extra cost.
Horse Riding – For a more peaceful adventure, hop on a horse or pony for hacks around the lake. Children as young as three can enjoy a pony ride when accompanied by an adult. For the more experienced rider, some nature trails offer the opportunity to trot and canter. Riding lessons are also available, and Pony Party Packages are popular for children's birthdays.
Archery – Forget the dart board down your local bar and hone your archery skills on the range. Instructors are on hand to demonstrate the proper stance and shooting technique. There are various size bows so children are welcome to take part in the activity. A variety of discounted combo packages such as ‘boats & bows' can also be enjoyed.
Air Rifle – If you are more John Wayne than Robin Hood, then air rifle target practice is great fun. At the range instructors will ensure safety and assist with shooting technique. At the discretion of your instructor, children may be assisted by parents in loading and holding the rifle.
Hiking Tours – The natural park surrounding Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre is the perfect setting for hiking. Visitors wishing to get a bit of fresh air and enjoy the park's natural beauty can purchase a walking guide. When bought with an additional activity, this will be at half price.
Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre Facilities
Casa La Pedrera Activity Centre welcome groups celebrating special occasions. It's also an ideal setting for team building events and stag & hen parties. The Grand Design team even lay on their own events. These include Halloween treasure & scavenger hunts. Guy Fawkes bonfire nights. Young girls can become a Mermaid For The Day, and there is always great fun events during the Christmas period. Free use of the swimming pool is offered to all visitors taking activities.
